Everyone in Europe, and even around the world, has heard of World Club Dome. This year again, WCD is coming to Düsseldorf, Germany for its Winter Edition on January 10th-12th, 2020. World Club Dome is never short on bringing the biggest international headliners with genres ranging from house to techno to hardstyle. Returning to the Merkur Spiel Arena in Düsseldorf for the second year running, and with 90,000 party-goers in attendance last year, the second edition is the first major event in next year’s dance music calendar.
World Club Dome started as a festival in 2013 when “BigCityBeats” had the 9th anniversary of their radio station. It already had 25,000 attendees and over 100 DJs. Their first 3 day event took place in 2015 for over a 100,000 people over three days. In 2016 the winter edition of World Club Dome broke all visitor records along with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who broke Germany’s record for the biggest DJ solo show with over 45,000 people showing up.
This year, WCD will host a wide variety of genres. The vast majority of the lineup and the headliners are all main stage house artists – like Afrojack and Laidback Luke. A world first, the Winter Edition will play host to the biggest Hip Hop takeover ever witnessed at a dance music festival. Taking the helm, legendary rapper Ice-T will be making a hugely anticipated appearance, joined by Hip Hop pioneer Afrika Islam, and homegrown talent Luciano, Sido and Bausa are just some of the great Urban and Bass artists gracing the festival. There are also other house giants like Alma and Zonderling, techno legends like Ben Sims, Drumcomplex and Joyhauser and a full hardstyle and psytrance takeover, with artists like Lost Identity, Vini Vici, Wildstylez and Sefa.
The event goers of this year can expect the Düsseldorf Spiel area to be transformed into a massive dance floor with crazy VIP bars, snacks, and lounge spaces. Before heading to the event we recommend checking out the FAQ to clarify any other questions and concerns you might have.
You will be able to expect 2 stages over 3 days with headliners such as Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Steve Aoki. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes so you will be able to dance your way through the 3 days of madness. Grab your tickets as soon as you can before they sell out because you don’t want to miss it.
