If you like to dance the night away to EDM and also get down to hip-hop’s hottest stars, get you a music festival that can do both. Breakaway Music Festival is expanding this year, hitting six cities nationwide from late summer through fall 2020.
New locations in Washington D.C. (Sept. 25 & 26) and San Diego (Nov. 13 & 14) add to the list that already includes Columbus, OH (Aug. 28 & 29), Grand Rapids, MI (Aug. 28 & 29), Charlotte, NC (Sept. 11 & 12), and Nashville, TN (Oct. 9 & 10).
“We’re thrilled to bring Breakaway back for 2020 and even more so to expand our presence into the San Diego and Washington D.C. markets,” said Adam Lynn, Breakaway co-founder.
Although lineups are not set to drop until spring, a quick look at past Breakaway lineups includes electro-giants Odesza, Kaskade, Bassnectar, and Illenium, as well as hip hop powerhouses Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Future, and Lil Pump. So regardless of which location you choose, you’re bound to catch some big artists.
Past Breakaway Music Festivals have also included roller disco, where attendees can rollerskate to DJ-curated disco music, as well as Fuji Film photo studios to capture the moment.
Festival promoters say affordable tickets are a priority. “Our mission has always been to provide real fans with a true music festival experience, at a price they can actually afford,” Lynn said. Tickets range in price; last tickets for the Michigan fest started at $60 for one-day GA and $100 for two-day.
Breakaway has also announced their partnership with renowned global clubbing and hospitality leader Drai’s Las Vegas on an elevated Breakaway VIP experience across all festival locations. The experience will provide the same attention to the VIP guest experience that it does at its premiere Beachclub and Nightclubs in Las Vegas and Dubai.
Loyalty pre-sale tickets are available Monday, Feb. 24 at 10:00 a.m.
