Festival newcomer Ubbi Dubbi is packing some serious heat in celebration of their second year. Production company Disco Donnie has done a fantastic job putting together another epic lineup and it’s not one to miss. It’s epic enough to get this Oregonian on a plane to Texas, and that’s saying something my friends. Heavy hitters for this year include Seven Lions, Illenium, Adventure Club, Kaskade, Mikey Lion, Liquid Stranger and LSDREAM, just to name a few. Check out the full lineup below.
Ubbi Dubbi has music for every fan, whether you’re a House Mouse, Techno Queen/King or a Bass Kitten. Variety in a lineup is key for me at festivals. I love bass, but also like to take a break and try to shuffle at the house stage. The festival is also curating a stage for just local talent, which offers incredible exposure for these artists. I have discovered lots of new music at festivals and love that Ubbi Dubbi is doing this.
New Venue, Who Dis?
Though returning to Dallas/Ft. Worth, Ubbi Dubbi has announced that it is moving venues to the renowned Globe Life Park. A friend and fellow Festival Squad writer went last year and is making the trip down from Wisconsin again this year. She says:
“Last year, the event was held at Panther Island. It was a fairly narrow venue that hosted two main stages and one smaller one dedicated to house/techno. Despite the smaller set up, the production was absolutely phenomenal and they did wonders with the area. This year, I cannot wait to see all that they do with Globe Life Park. The venue and lineup are bigger, and I know Ubbi Dubbi will be better than ever.” -Kaelyn Gray

Hearing that the first round was a smashing success is a reassurance that it’ll be an unforgettable weekend, especially coming from a fellow festival enthusiast. Exploring new festivals is such a treat! It’s exciting to see what a newer festival will come up with to set themselves apart from the rest of the festival world. I am continually blown away by the creativity and talent in production when it comes to this industry.
